Lauren Rossouw - Beginner Pole Instructor

Lauren Rossouw - Beginner Pole Instructor

Lauren  started pole dancing at Sultry Studios in 2017. She instantly fell in love with the aerial arts and the physical as well as mental challenge that comes along with it.

For her, every class brings with it something new – whether it be the confidence you gain trying a new move for the first time or realising how resilient you truly are doing a move for the umpteenth time until you nail it! And trust me – there’s no better feeling that when you finally do!

"What this journey has taught me is how to be patient and kind to yourself – something we all should be.  I am also amazed at what a person’s body is capable of at any age – with or without any prior training. I recommend pole fitness and the aerial arts to anyone who wants to try something different – it really will change your life and the way you see things!"

I started dancing at Sultry Studios in 2011.
I could never find a form of exercise that suited my needs until I started pole and aerial fitness.
Once I started, I was hooked!
l love the mental and physical challenge that comes with Pole fitness; the strength and fitness required to perform certain moves.
Pole has taught me how to be comfortable with my body and also what the body is capable of if you just move past the fear.
There is no better feeling then the sense of accomplishment that comes from learning a new move, practicing until you get right.

Ask any Pole and aerial dancer, and most of them will tell you that dancing has given them an immense amount of confidence in themselves and made them happier overall.

This confidence comes from gaining strength that you never thought you will have, and learning to be comfortable in your own skin.

This is what it has meant to me and I want to transfer this sense of achievement to my students. To me, there is nothing more satisfying than helping a student nail a trick that they have been struggling with for a long time. It is a moment of absolute joy and it is my privilege to share it with my students.

I signed up at Sultry Studios in August 2014 and I haven’t looked back since. We make friends and grow together as people and athletes. I, and the other instructor are here encourage and support you through your journey.

This journey has been one of self-discovery to me and I am still learning and will continue to learn…

Before Sultry I forced myself to go to a gym, but never enjoyed it! I found Sultry in 2011 and signed up, but lets be honest -  it wasn’t easy!
There were days that I was so stiff and sore that I wanted to die!
But, for the first time in my life I fell in love with working out and pole became my passion!

I completed my instructor training diploma in 2018. This is the most rewarding job I’ve ever had.
I live for the moments I am able to show the students their potential and what their bodies are capable of.
Turning those “I can’t” moments into “I can”!
I enjoy all of the relationships I have made at Sultry Studios and can’t wait to grow as an instructor and to meet more amazing pole students!

I was first introduced to Pole Fitness in 2012 and I've been addicted ever since.
I fell in love with the sensual side of pole fitness and that it combines everything I need!
Dancing allows me to g express my personality and push myself to reach for more.
Pole dancing is MY time to do what I love.
Most of all I enjoy the strength it has given me inside and out.
The confidence I have received from dancing at Sultry Studios has been applied into my everyday life.
It hasn't been easy and I am still learning to be a strong, sexy and confident woman.
I encourage all women and men of all shapes and sizes to give this sport a try and to not let others hold you back on being adventurous and doing something for yourself.
