Frequently Asked Questions

What do I bring / wear?

For all classes:

  • A small hand towel; water and yoga mat. We have a yoga mat if you don’t have for trials, but if you should purchase one if you sign up for hygiene reasons.
  • We dance bare foot or with ballet slippers. No shoes are allowed in the studio, wuth the exception of planned heel routines..
  • Please leave jewellery at home.
  • ONLY mats; hand towel and PLASTIC water bottle are allowed in studio.
  • We do not allow anything else inside the studio, including shoes; food; gum; handbags, etc.

Pole and Conditioning classes: Keep in mind that the pole only sticks to skin, and slips on clothing.

Please bring hot pants or shorts (as short as you are comfortable with) Minimum must cover the bum and other private bits :)
If you are not comfortable with hot pants, you can bring shorts that can roll up easily to expose the inner thigh.
Sleeveless shirt that wont fall over your head if you invert.
NB: No hand or body lotion on the day as this causes slip on the poles and you wont get much done.
We dance barefoot or with ballet slippers.
You may bring grip for pole dance from level A2 only. This assists to build the necessary strength in your hands before moving onto the more challenging moves.
Our advice is to get used to not needing to use it as far as possible. Sunlight soap (availavble in the bathroom) before and during class strips oil off to stop sweaty hands causing slip.
Flex :

Comfortable Pants (yoga pants; tights, etc) that allow you to move freely. Comfy top. Bare feet or ballet slippers.

If you are a bit shy, you are welcome to wear outfit per flex class above. But if you are ready to take the plunge, join us and get into character with heels; fishnets; hot pants/shorts and a top that makes you feel great! Dressing the part really boosts your confidence, so we encourage you to do so. We also have weekly themes, but the instructor will let you know beforehand if you need specific props such as boas, etc.

Aerial Silks and Hoops:

For silks you need to wear long tights. Some prefer a top that has sleeves to prevent silks burn, but others are fine in sleeveless.
Try both options out and see what works best for you.
Same as above for hoops, except that personal preference is either long tights or shorts. Again - try both out and see what you prefer.
Grip may be used from any level in hoops, but we again suggest trying without it first.
We do, however sell grip in the studio if you require..
NO POLE GRIP may be used on our silks. Only aerial silks rosin - availible for purhcase at studio if required.

I'm a beginner - which classes can I book?

Beginners can book ANY of our classes, including all pole classes; conditioning; flex; sensual dance; aerial silks and hoops.
Each student is allocated their own chart, and so the instructor will specifically prepare moves to teach each student within their level.
So no need to worry - you wont need to hang upside down by a toe (just yet)  ;)
We start each new student on our "intro to pole/hoops/silks" level which helps to build up strength before going into A1. 

I've danced before - how do I know which level I will be in?

If you have experience with pole; hoops or silks, you can book an "all level" class, and we an do a quick assessment of where your
skills fit in with regards to our curriculum and start you off there.

How do I book?

For your initial class, you will need to take a look at the scheule to see which class youd like to start with and This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so we can do a manual
booking from our side, alternately you can sign up with us electronically via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and start booking your classes online. Once you are a registrered contract member, you will have access to your own account on our booking app, iTensity.
From here you will be able to manage your own info; bookings; cancellations, etc.

How do booking credits work?

For bundles (taster packs): You will be allocted the amount of credits you have purchased to your account, and you can use them however you like within the expiry date. I.e you can use 5 credits in the first week; 1 in the next week; 3 in the following. Whatever is not used after the expiry will fall away. You can book up to 6 weeks in advance.

For contracts (month-to-month; 3 and 6 month options): You will be allocated your classes weekly. E.g if you take a contract for 4x classes per week, you MUST use all 4 within each week. What is not used will fall away at the end of that week and your next 4 start from Monday again. You can book up to 6 weeks in advance.

With both options, bookings/cancellations have a 12 hour policy. If you do not cancel a class online with 12 hours+ notice, this credit will be lost. If you do not book with 12 hours+ notice and want to attend a class which you are not booked for, you will be charged a drop in fee of R80 (registered students only).

Students can book ANY classes - there is no limitation on time or type of class (with the exception of some special offers), so try them all out and see which ones you love the most! You do not need to stick to the same classes each week.

Arrival times

We lock the gate 5 minutes prior to class for security reasons and that we can start the class promptly without having to wait for last minute arrivals.
Please make sure that you are at the studio at least 10 minutes beforehand. 
Unfortuntaly those who have not arrived by the time we start will forfeit their credit.

What benefits can I expect from my classes?

These styles of dance and fitness help to increase strength; flexibility, toning; weight loss and body positivity, parrallel to no other sport! 
Strength training is a major aspect of most of our classes, and our styles of dance and fitness focus on a full body workout.
Stretching is a large component of classes, so posture; body alignment and overall suppleness are greatly improved.
Fitness levels and dance stamina are increased substantially.

On a personal level the confidence that is gained through these styles of classes are unparalleled to any other fitness program - Not only in body acceptance but also in the exhilaration of achieving new heights and goals.

What ages can join?

Our age allowances are from 8 years old to 100000000.......
Children between the ages of 8 and 17 may join our "All Ages" classes only.
Our classes are for everyone, and there is no such thing as too old!
Many of our strongest students are 50+, up to an including one of our students at 72 years old!

How many people per class?

We aim to keep classes as intimate as possible and take a maximum of 2x per pole; hoop or silks.

Can men join?

Absolutely!!! You are most welcome at our studio and to participate in any of our classes!

I'm interested in becoming an instructor. Do you offer training?

Yes, we offer pole fitness training qualifications. Please get in touch for nearest dates.
Minimum ability to do our beginner instructor course is to be able to climb and invert with ease.

Equipment & Sales

Uniform: We stock hot pants; tops; crop tops; jazz pants; hoodies and kit bags.
We offer a varity of grip aids.
Equipment:We manufacture and supply our own Professional grade of Poles; Aerial Hoops and Aerial Silks for home use, as well as distribution to other studios.
